The words I speak

Go over your head

Your eyes are closed

To all I’ve said

You’ve made you mind up

Closed the book

Refuse to take

A second look

I keep on trying

Though in vain

Words are falling

Down like rain

I need to say them

Let them out

The truth is there

There is no doubt

Maybe some

Could just hit home

At least it’s said

I’m not alone

The words are left

Hang in the air

Could pluck them down

But you don’t dare

Don’t  recognise

Who you’ve become

I’ve said my words

And now I’m done
